RedHawks Compete at Day Two of Tennessee Relays

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Miami University outdoor track and field squad put up a strong showing at the Tennessee Relays on Friday, showcasing great results to continue the 2021 outdoor season on a strong note.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Charlie Harders, running in the 3000m steeplechase, placed first in the event with a time of 9:05.92. Dan Conway also had a strong showing in the same event, finishing in 5th with a time of 9:12.00.
Anthony Camerieri placed 2^nd in the 1500m with a time of 3:45.41. He competed in the power hour section of this race against some of the best athletes in the event.
In the field, Ryan Smith performed well in the shot put, finishing in 3rd with a 16.98-meter throw. Alexandra Filiatraut finished well in the Javelin, with a 6th-place finish and a 37.19-meter throw.
To close the day for the RedHawks, Alex Tam was the top Miami finisher in the 5000-meter event, placing 3rd with a time of 14:35.54. Jenna Sayle had a great performance in the 3000m steeplechase as well finishing in 4th with a time of 11:08.90.
