OXFORD, Ohio—A hard-fought effort came up just short as the Miami University women's tennis team (12-10; 6-2 Mid-American Conference) was edged by the University of Toledo (16-5; 6-2 MAC) on Friday afternoon at the Miami Tennis Courts, 4-3.
With wins at No.1 and No. 2 doubles, the RedHawks captured the doubles point. Miami notched singles wins at the No. 5 and No. 6 spots, but the Rockets collected wins in the first four flights with three of the matches going to three sets. It was the final home match of the season for the RedHawks, who honored seniors Brindtha Ramasamy and Laura Rico prior to the match.
