Miami Runners Impress at Jenna Strong Fall Classic

WILMINGTON, Ohio-- Several of Miami's cross country runners competed in the Jenna Strong Fall Classic this Friday at Wilmington College. The men ran the 8k and Ane Erasmus from Miami's women's team ran the 5k.

The Miami men only sent five total runners and all of them were unattached, but they still finished in second place overall. Erasmus was the only runner for the RedHawk women, and she finished in 20^th place with a time of 20:19.9.

How It Happened:

For the men, the top runner was Johnny Sayle who was running his first meet for the RedHawks and finished in 10^th place with a time of 25:37.0. Will Goodrich came in 13^th place with a time of 25:42.1. Jack Klein came in 16^th place with a time of 26:02.3. Evan Hughes finished in 19^th place with a time of 26:05.4. Weston Naville came in 26^th place with a time of 26:30.4.

The next time the RedHawks will compete is Saturday, October 29^th in the MAC Cross Country Championships at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
