
Field Hockey Sunk by Late Ohio State Goal in 1-0 Loss

Columbus, Ohio— The Miami University field hockey team suffered its third one-goal defeat of the year, dropping a 1-0 decision to Ohio State on Monday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In a scoreless and even first 30 minutes, Ohio State led Miami in shots 3-2 and corners were even at one each.
- The Buckeyes came out firing with six shots in the third quarter but RedHawks goalkeeper Isabelle Perese made three saves in the quarter, keeping the game knotted up 0-0.
- With just under 10 minutes left in the game, Ohio State took a 1-0 lead.
- The Buckeyes held a 16-6 shot advantage and an 8-6 advantage on penalty corners. Despite the tough loss, Perese finished with seven saves.
