Inside Look – Eric Koehler

Co-offensive coordinator, Eric Koehler came to Miami prior to the start of the 2014 season and has made a major impact on the Miami offense and quarterbacks throughout his time with the RedHawks.
Under Koehler's leadership, Miami starting quarterbacks have seen plenty of success. In 2014 Andrew Hendrix would earn third team All-MAC honors, throwing for 3,280 yards and 23 touchdowns in his lone year with the Red and White. Then stepped in Gus Ragland, who was a three year starter for Miami from 2016-18. In his time in Oxford, Ragland would earn All-MAC honors in 2018 and finished his career throwing for 6,306 yards and 56 touchdowns, while adding 882 yards and 14 scores on the ground.
This past season Brett Gabbert earned MAC Freshman of the Year honors, just the third RedHawk in school history to do so. Gabbert threw for 2,411 yards and 11 touchdowns en route to leading Miami to a MAC Championship win over Central Michigan.
