
Tennis Finishes Opening Road Trip With Loss at Kentucky

The RedHawks fell by a score of 6-1 Tuesday morning.
LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Miami RedHawks (1-3) wrapped up their season-opening road trip at on Tuesday at Kentucky (4-0), falling to the Wildcats by a score of 6-1.
Brindtha Ramasamy provided the RedHawks with their lone point of the day as she grabbed an extremely impressive win with a 6-2, 6-2 decision over Kentucky's Parazinskaite at the number one spot.
Miami was unable to take the doubles point after finding success there against Purdue yesterday, as UK took a quick win on court two before their nationally-ranked duo of Parazinskaite/Jacobs won 6-4 over Ramasamy and Laura Rico.
In singles, the Wildcats took two quick wins before Ramasamy got one on the board for the 'Hawks. After that it was all Kentucky; the Wildcats won a three-set battle on court two to clinch the match and then closed it out with two more wins to make the final score 6-1.
The RedHawks will regroup with more than a week off before returning to action on Friday, Jan. 31 at Cincinnati.
