
Lins de Mello Competes in Pan American Games

The rising sophomore will be competing as a member of the Brazilian roster.
OXFORD, Ohio – Rising sophomore Camila Lins de Mello will be competing in the Pan American Games as a member of the Brazilian national team. The 2019 Pan American Games will be held in Lima, Peru and conclude on August 11.
Lins de Mello will be swimming the 200 IM, an event that she set a new school record in at the 2019 MAC Championships, finishing second in the conference.
She competed in her first season as a RedHawk in 2018-19, being named All-MAC First Team at the conclusion of the MAC Championships. Lins de Mello set new school and meet records in the 200 free as she became the MAC Champion in that event. She also finished second in the 800 free relay, second in the 200 IM, second in the 400 free relay, sixth in the 400 medley relay and seventh in the 100 free. Lins de Mello set a total of four school records at the MAC Championships. She won 11 events this season.
