Nate Becker, a former walk-on with the Miami University football team, signed a free agent deal with the Detroit Lions on Saturday.
 
The fifth-year tight end played in 35 games for the Red and White, making 26 career starts. This past year Becker established career bests in catches (13), yards (154) and touchdowns (1).
