Black History Month – Brandon Brooks
2/4/2019 9:52:00 AM | Football
Throughout the entire month of February MiamiRedHawks.com will be celebrating Black History month by honoring former student-athletes. Today's spotlight is on former football player Brandon Brooks
Brooks graduated from Miami in 2011 with a decorated football career. He was a three-time Second Team All-MAC selection and helped the RedHawks capture the Mid-American Conference championship in 2010.
He would go on to be a third round draft pick of the Houston Texans and eventually sign a free agent contract with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017. Brooks and the Eagles captured Super Bowl LII and he has been named to the Pro Bowl in 2017 and 2018.
Brooks returned to Miami in 2018 and served as its commencement speaker last May.
