
Miami Student-Athletes Notch 30th Straight Semester GPA Above 3.0

The below student-athletes recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA during the fall semester.
OXFORD, Ohio – Another semester down and another stellar performance in the classroom for Miami student-athletes.
With the fall grades reported, the RedHawks' entire group of student athletes combined to post a 3.21 grade-point average, marking their 30th-straight semester with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Collectively, 69 percent of Miami's student-athletes achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Thirteen of the RedHawks' 18 teams recorded at least a 3.0 grade-point average in the fall semester, with the softball team's 3.7 GPA leading the way. The other teams included baseball (3.2), field hockey (3.42), golf (3.19), hockey (3.19), men's swimming and diving (3.12), men's track and field/cross country (3.13), soccer (3.55), synchronized skating (3.53), volleyball (3.53), women's basketball (3.3), women's swimming and diving (3.59) and women's track & field/cross country (3.41).
"I'm very proud of our student-athletes for their outstanding work in the classroom,"Â Associate Athletic Director for Academics and Compliance Brad Corbin said. "They continue to match their athletic success with equally impressive academic accomplishments, proving that you can truly have it all at Miami. Additionally, this sustained success over the course of 15 consecutive years is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our Student-Athlete Academic Services staff."
