OXFORD, Ohio – The Miami University field hockey team hosts Kent State and Indiana this weekend. On Saturday, the RedHawks host conference rival Kent State at noon in this season's Red Out. On Sunday, Indiana comes to town for the International Student Appreciation Game at 2 p.m.
Miami went 2-0 last weekend. The RedHawks opened conference play with a 4-0 shutout win at Ball State on Saturday before beating No. 22 Ohio State on Sunday in Columbus by a 2-1 margin. Miami is 5-4 this season.

ABOUT KENT STATE: The Golden Flashes hold a 2-7 record this season. Last weekend, Kent State lost to Pacific by a 2-0 margin and No. 23 Stanford by a 2-1 margin. Sophomore back Clara Rodriguez Seto leads the Golden Flashes offense with five goals and four assists for 14 total points.
SERIES WITH KENT STATE: Miami has won 34 of the 83 meetings in the all-time series with Kent State. Last season, the RedHawks beat the Golden Flashes 2-1 in overtime to become MAC Tournament Champions.
ABOUT INDIANA: The Hoosiers hold a 2-6 record after dropping their first two conference games last weekend. Indiana lost to No. 11 Northwestern by a 2-1 margin on Friday and then fell to No. 16 Iowa on Sunday 3-0. Kelsey Giese leads the Hoosiers offense with two goals, two assists, six total points, 30 shots and 14 shots on goal.
SERIES WITH INDIANA: Miami has beaten Indiana seven out of the 19 times these two teams have played. In 2017, Indiana won in overtime by a 3-2 margin.
