TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - After rain and lightning suspended Friday's activities, Miami University track & field completed the Crimson Tide Invitational at Alabama on Saturday. They did this with the exception of the men's and women's 10,000m races, which were canceled due to the inclement weather.
Senior Zac Thompson and sophomore Maegan Murphy, who were both slated to run in those 10K races, ended up running and finishing in the top-10 in the 5K instead. Thompson turned in a personal record of 14:49.61 in the men's race to place seventh. On the women's side, Murphy ran a 17:40.70 to place eighth.

For the hurdlers, Aaron Muresan continued his strong start to the spring season after winning the 110m hurdles at last week's Oliver Nikoloff Open at Cincinnati. The junior began his day Saturday by turning in a PR 14.48 in the same event to place fifth. He then went on to take fourth in the 400m hurdles with a 53.80. He now ranks in the top-five in the Mid-American Conference in both events: second in the 110H and third in the 400H.
