All 112 Miami University football players will be carrying a special message with them as they take the field for the Oct. 13 Cancer Awareness Game versus Kent State. Each player's helmet will feature a colored ribbon of their choice to symbolize how they have been affected by cancer.
Â
These helmets and Miami's entire football uniform, will be featured on the "Gear Up" segment on ESPN's SportsCenter between 7-9 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Five helmets will be available for fans to purchase via auction. Stay tuned for more details.
