Miami Women Beat Ohio in Athens

The RedHawks won 10 of the 16 events.
ATHENS, Ohio – The Miami University women's swimming and diving team beat Ohio by a 171-129 margin on Saturday. The RedHawk women improve to 2-1 on the season and the Bobcats fall to 0-1.
Miami had the winning team in both the 400 medley and 400 free relays. Abby Stone, Anna Martin, Kayleigh Cannon and Izzy Herb swam the 400 medley relay (3:52.96). Ella Moynihan, Molly Zilch, Herb and Stone swam the 400 free relay (3:31.30).
Emma Bradley won the 1000 free (10:08.90). Bradley also won the 500 free (4:58.44) with Moynihan finishing second (5:01.35).
Zilch won the 200 free (1:53.81) and was the runner up in the 100 free (53.87).
Carolyn Jungers won the 100 back (58.00) while Herb finished fastest in the 200 back (2:01.20).
Martin won the 100 breast (1:06.28) and Hannah Fuchs was off second place by 0.01 seconds. In the 200 breast, Martin finished second (2:21.01) and Fuchs third (2:21.48).
Herb (2:02.51) and Cannon (2:03.96) finished in the top two spots in the 200 fly. Cannon also finished second in the 100 fly (56.49) while Peyton Mosbaugh finished third (58.17).
Maddie Folta had the highest score in the 3-mtr dive (236.70). Libby Boothman was the top Miami diver in the 1-mtr dive (209.10), finishing third overall.
Moynihan (24.31) and Stone (24.55) finished second and third, respectively, in the 50 free.
Fuchs touched the wall second in the 400 IM (4:29.49) and Alexandra Spaczay finished third (4:30.64).
The Miami men and women travel to Akron, Ohio for the Zip Classic on Friday, Oct. 12 and Saturday, Oct. 13.
