Women's MAC Championships are Underway

OXFORD, Ohio ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃÆ'¢'¬" The Miami University women's swimming and diving team is currently tied for fourth with Ohio following day one of the 2017 Mid-American Conference Championships.
Competition opened up with the 200-yard medley relay and the 800-yard freestyle relay.
The 200-yard medley relay team consisted of Brittany Dudzinski, Stephanie LeMire, Grace Van Fossen and Julia Campbell. The quad touched the wall in 1:39.93, earning fifth place and 28 points. Miami and the four teams in front of them all broke the pool record.
Ella Moynihan, Abby Stone, Molly Zilch and Claire Doerr placed fifth in the 800-yard freestyle relay, clocking in at 7:20.26 and earning 28 points for Miami.
Prelims will start tomorrow at 11 a.m. and finals at 7 p.m.
The events that will be run tomorrow are the 500-yard freestyle relay, 200-yard IM, 50-yard freestyle, one-meter dive and 200-yard freestyle relay.
The cost of attendance will be $12 for a single session or $34 for the entire championship for adults. Youth (17 and under) tickets run for $6 per session or $16 for an all-sessions pass, while MAC students with a valid ID and children five and under will be given free admission. Doors will open to the public one hour prior to the first event of each session, with ticket sales beginning on Thursday.
