
Women Travel to Akron

OXFORD, Ohio - The Miami University women's swimming and diving team begins its conference schedule with an away meet at Akron on Saturday at 2 p.m.
The RedHawks women had the week off from competition after opening the season with a loss to Purdue, 194-105.
The Zips are 1-0 after beating Youngstown State 188-98 on Oct. 6, claiming 15 first-place finishes in 16 events. Junior Sadie Fazekas, junior Madison Myers and freshman Paulina Nogaj lead Akron's team.
In 2016, Miami fell to Akron by a 176.5-123.5 margin. Pei Lin and Emma Bradley led the RedHawks. Lin swept the diving events, coming close to her record in the three-meter dive with a score of 413.85. Bradley won the 1000-yard freestyle (10:17.01), beating the second-place finisher by more than four seconds.
