Brock posted a pair of victories and a second-place finish in Miami's MAC opening dual against Buffalo over the weekend. The senior clocked a time of 45.38 to win the 100-yard freestyle and was part of the RedHawks' victorious 400-yard freestyle relay team that finished their laps in 3:05.19. He also was part of the team's second-place 200-yard medley relay.
This is the first time this season and in his career that Brock has been named Miami's Male Athlete of the Week.
Pei Lin posted a pair of individual wins in the one and three-meter dives against Akron over the weekend. She nearly broke her own school and MAC record with a 413.85 in the three-meter dive while also scoring 333.07 in her victorious one-meter dive.
This is the first time this season and fifth time in her career that Lin has been named Miami's Female Athlete of the Week. She last won it for the week of March 14-20, 2016.
The next Miami Athletes of the Week will be announced on Monday, Jan. 30.
