The Miami University football team landed in St. Petersburg, Florida around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday afternoon, beginning its four day bowl experience before facing Mississippi State in the St. Petersburg Bowl on Monday, December 26 in Tropicana Field.
On Thursday, the team participated in a pair of community service events. A select number of players visited Johns Hopkins Children's Hospital to spread some holiday cheer, while the rest of the team competed with the Bulldogs in a "Fill the Bowl" event, generating publicity to feed the local homeless.
Tomorrow morning Miami will have its first bowl practice in Florida. In the afternoon the RedHawks travel to Busch Gardens for an afternoon of amusement part fun.
