After beginning the season with six straight losses the RedHawks have rattled off six consecutive wins, not only to become bowl eligible but also claim a share of the Mid-American Conference East Division title. Not to mention, the Red and White are the first team in NCAA football history to finish the regular season 6-6 after opening the year with six straight losses.
Offensively, the RedHawks are led by sophomore quarterback Gus Ragland who has thrown for 1,274 yards, 15 touchdowns and zero interceptions since returning from an ACL injury suffered back in April. Since he returned to the RedHawks' sideline, Miami is 6-0.
Defensively, Miami ranks first in the Mid-American Conference in total defense (354.8) and interceptions (14). Junior Tony Reid leads the team in tackles (86), JT Jones is tops in sacks (6.5) and De'Andre Montgomery and Heath Harding are tied for the team lead with four interceptions.
MAC bowl game tie-ins are listed below, but are not guaranteed selections for the RedHawks. The official announcement will not be available until December 4.
