Miami Men and Women Fall at Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃÆ'¢'¬" Miami University's men's and women's swimming and diving teams fell to Ohio State on Saturday afternoon in Columbus. The men's team is now 2-2 and the women are 5-2.
Pei Lin was the lone RedHawk to collect two individual wins as she swept the diving events, winning the one-meter (347.78) and three-meter (373.13).
The Red & White were successful in the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing 1-2-3 with the trio of Stephanie LeMire (2:19.49), Holly Schuster (2:20.56) and Hannah Fuchs (2:21.28), respectively. Fuchs and Schuster placed second and third in the 200-yard IM, with Fuchs clocking in at 2:06.39 and Schuster in 2:08.11.
The other individual win for the Miami women came from Elise Campbell, as she took first in the 100-yard breaststroke, touching the wall in 1:03.04. LeMire placed third in the event, coming in at 1:04.66.
Izzy Herb and Morgan Quesnel both picked up a second- and third-place finish in the meet. Herb took second in the 100-yard backstroke (56.33) and third in the 200-yard backstroke (2:02.96). Quesnel finished second in the 100-yard butterfly (57.11) and third in the 200-yard butterfly (2:06.02).
As for the men, the team of James Wray, Hutch Blackstone, Rob Newman and Nick Ward placed third in the 200-yard medley relay, clocking in at 1:33.38.
Blackstone picked up two top three finishes for the RedHawks. He finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke, touching the wall in 57.11. Blackstone placed third in the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing in 2:09.73.
Two other men for the Red & White finished in the top three in an event. Lucas Brock took third in the 50-yard freestyle (21.25) and Jake Precious placed third in the 200-yard backstroke (1:54.42).
The Miami men and women will be off until they host the Miami Invitational Dec. 1-3.
