David Shrider Named Don Loss Volunteer of the Year

OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University Athletics is proud to announce that Dr. David Shrider has been named the 2015-16 Don Loss Volunteer of the Year by the Red & White Club. Shrider was recognized at the Miami football game against Ohio University this past Saturday.
Shrider, a 1992 Miami graduate and former President of the Red & White Club Board of Directors, currently serves on the Athletic Director's Circle. He is also a long-time season ticket holder, Red & White Club member, and Graduating Champions Campaign donor. Shrider is an Associate Professor in the Farmer School of Business and is the son of Carol and the late Dick Shrider, former Director of Athletics and head men's basketball coach at Miami.
The Don Loss Award was created by the Red & White Club Board of Directors in 1995 in loving memory of Don Loss, a loyal Miami alum and first President of the RWC Board of Directors, to recognize the generous volunteer spirit that epitomized Don Loss.
The award is presented annually to a member of the Red & White Club who demonstrates unselfish service to the Red & White Club, either internally or externally.
The Red & White Club provides annual scholarship funding to Miami University student-athletes. By becoming a member and contributing to the Red & White Club, you support the participation of young men and women in intercollegiate athletics while encouraging them to be champions in competition, in the classroom and in the community.
