- Making his first career start for the RedHawks defense was redshirt sophomore defensive back Bert Birdsall. On offense, sophomore guard Zach Hovey made his first career start.
- In the first quarter, Sam Shisso hauled in his first career touchdown pass, bringing down a 21-yard toss to tie the game at 7.
- Freshman kicker Nick Dowd recorded his first career point when he completed the PAT after Miami's first touchdown. Dowd also recorded his first career field goal in the second quarter to make the score 14-10.
- Defensive end JT Jones recorded his first sack of the year in the first quarter, bringing down UC quarterback Gunner Kiel to force a three-and-out.
- Freshman quarterback Billy Bahl set a career high for pass completion when he unleashed a 40-yard pass to Sam Martin in the second quarter.
- Bahl threw his first career touchdown pass in the second quarter to put the RedHawks up 17-14. His pass was to sophomore tight end Ryan Smith, whose reception was his first career score. Smith would finish the day with two touchdown grabs.
- Freshman kicker Evan Jakubowski got his first kickoff attempt late in the second half.
- Drew Kummer's 75-yard touchdown pass to Sam Martin in the second quarter set a career-long for both players.
- Redshirt freshman Gus Ragland got free of the pocket and ran for a career-long 36-yard rush in the second quarter that helped set up a Miami touchdown.
- Sam Martin set a new career high for receiving yards, finishing with 124. His previous high came in Miami's comeback win over UMass last season when he caught for 111.
- Kummer set a career-high for single game passing touchdowns. He finished with three.
- Junior TJ Williams set a new career-high in tackles with 12. His previous mark came in this year's season opener against Presbyterian when he totaled five.
- Sophomore linebacker Paul Moses tied his career-high for tackles with 8. The other time Moses recorded that many solo tackles was in the season opener against Presbyterian.
- Redshirt freshman running back Kenny Young surpassed his career-high single game rushing yards, totaling 62 on the day. His other game-high was 59 against Presbyterian.
- Redshirt freshman linebacker Brad Earnest recorded his first career interception in the fourth quarter.
- Defensive backs Tony Reid and Marshall Taylor both tied their career best solo tackle marks with five each.
