Chester Wraps up Season at NCAA Prelims

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Sam Chester made his postseason debut in his senior year at the NCAA East Region Preliminary meet on Friday.
Chester took part in the 110m hurdles, the first running event of the day. The senior clocked a time of 14.32 to place 36th at the meet for the Miami track and field program. That race concludes the RedHawks' weekend at the postseason meet, one that saw four Red and White competitors from the men's and women's team.
On Thursday, Amelia Strickler clinched her first career NCAA Outdoor Championships appearance by placing 10th in the shot put while Joe Stewart took 19th in the 10,000m and Kenny Glenn finished 44th in the long jump.
Strickler will conclude her collegiate season at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, which run June 10-13.
