Albright and Jones Named All-MAC

Bryson Albright and JT Jones were named to the Mid-American All-Conference team this morning, announced by the league office. Albright earned second-team honors while Jones was placed on the third team.

Albright played in 12 games this season, making 11 starts, finishing the year with 51 tackles, 7.0 sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss. He added three fumble recoveries and an interception on the year. His sack and tackles for loss totals ranked third in the MAC in 2015. His top performance came in his final contest as a RedHawk, recording seven tackles, 2.0 sacks and a game-clinching interception in a 20-13 win over UMass. He added a career-high nine tackles and 3.0 sacks in a 28-13 win over Eastern Michigan.

Jones played in all 12 games this season, finishing the year second in the MAC with 10.0 sacks and 14.5 tackles for loss. He added 52 tackles, a forced fumble and a team-high 12 quarterback hurries in 2015. His top performance of the season was in a 28-13 win over Eastern Michigan in which he set a school record with four sacks versus the Eagles, en route to earned MAC East Division Defensive Player of the Week. He also closed out the season strong with 2.5 sacks and three tackles for loss in a 20-13 win over UMass.
