Bryson Albright, a member of the Miami University football team, was named Mid-American Conference East Division Defensive Player of the Week, following the contest versus UMass. The announcement was made by the league office on Monday morning.
Playing in his final game as a RedHawk, the fifth-year senior recorded seven tackles, 2.0 sacks, 2.5 tackles for loss and a game-clinching interception in a 20-13 win over the Minutemen. His first career interception came on a fourth down from the Miami 17-yard line as UMass threatened to tie the game. Albright was also part of a defensive effort that allowed just 250 total yards to UMass' high powered offense.
