Miami vs. Buffalo Postgame Notes

- Senior defensive back Brison Burris intercepted a pass in the first quarter and returned it 76yards for his first career touchdown. It was the longest interception return for Miami this year. The return is also a new Yager Stadium record for an interception return for a touchdown, breaking the previous record of 73, set in 1995. It was the first pick-six for the RedHawks since Quinten Rollins did so against Ohio (Nov. 24, 2015).
- Maurice Thomas' 54-yard kickoff return in the third quarter was an individual and team season high. The true freshman set a new season and career high for all-purpose yards with 121.
- Freshman quarterback Billy Bahl set new season and career-highs for passing yards (224), passing attempts (36), and touchdowns (2).
- Junior defensive back Buchi Okafor set new season-highs in total tackles (10), solo tackles (5), and tackles for loss (1.5).
- With a 20-yard rush in the fourth quarter, redshirt freshman running back Leonard Ross set a new season and career-high for longest rushing play.
- For the second straight home game, the RedHawks blocked an opponent field goal. In the fourth quarter, senior defensive lineman Mitch Winters got a piece of Buffalo's 47-yard field goal attempt.
