- Making his first career start on offense was redshirt freshman center Mitch Palmer. On defense, freshman Allan Koikoi got his first career start.
- Koikoi set single-game career bests in total tackles (5), solo tackles (4), and passes broken up (1).
- Freshman Joshua Allen set single-game career bests in total tackles (4), solo tackles (2), passes broken up (1) and tackles for loss (0.5).
- Redshirt sophomore Bert Birdsall forced his first career fumble in the second quarter. - Freshman James Gardner recorded his first career catch on a 39-yard pass in the second quarter. Gardner would establish his career high in receptions (2), receiving yards (49), and longest reception (39).
- Redshirt junior Fred McRae hauled in his first career touchdown on a 25-yard reception in the fourth quarter.
- Freshman quarterback Billy Bahl set a new career high for passing yards with 156.
- Redshirt sophomore Zach Smierciak blocked a 46-yard field goal attempt in the fourth quarter, making it the first time a Miami player blocked a field goal since Austin Brown did it against Cincinnati during the 2013 season.
- Senior linebacker Josh Dooley tied his career high for tackles for loss in a game with 0.5.
