While the Miami University football team takes on Kent State this Saturday, beginning at 2:30 p.m., the game will not be the only excitement happening during Family Weekend inside Yager Stadium. Below are a list of things fans can enjoy as the RedHawks square off with the Golden Flashes.
FanFEST
The gameday playground for all ages will be located under the videoboard at the south end of Yager Stadium.
Videoboard Fan Interactions
Kroger Fan Cam: Fans can see themselves on the video board - dance, smile or wave to the camera
Geico Dance Cam: Selected fans will square off in a dance-off. Fans inside the stadium will vote for a winner.
SwoopSelfies: Fans can tweet photos to @MiamiRedHawks during the game and selected images will appear on the videoboard. Fans can also tweet the images using the hashtag: #SwoopSelfie
T-Shirt Toss
Every time Miami scores, so do you. Following every touchdown, members of the marketing staff will be throwing t-shirts out into the crowd. Be on the lookout for the high-powered t-shirt gun that will make an appearance on Saturday as well.
Halftime Entertainment
Just like with all home football games, stick around at halftime to watch the Miami University Marching Band perform. You won’t be disappointed.
Endzone Tailgating
Looking for a place to party prior to the start of Saturday’s game? Look no further than the “Endzone.” Located on the West Millett lawn, directly across from the West Millett parking lot, students will have an opportunity to tailgate for hours prior to the start of the contest.
In-game Competitions
Between quarters students will have the opportunity to compete in several competitions: Football toss for gift cards, Follett’s Cup Scramble for gear and FatHead’s for Real Name that Player promotion for a FatHead prize pack.
