OXFORD, Ohio -- Miami All-Access powered by the Miami Bookstore is bursting at the seams today as the Athletic Department has unveiled new plans for the audio and video arm of MURedHawks.com. During the 2011-12 athletic calendar, more than 100 live events will be aired over the internet platform.
In addition to football and hockey, which were previously shown, subscribers will now be able to watch men's and women's basketball, field hockey, soccer, volleyball, men's and swimming and diving, baseball and softball. Additionally, subscribers will have early access to Miami Magazine and game highlights, plus see special subscriber-only interviews and features.
"We are excited about these improvements to Miami All-Access," Assistant Athletic Director for Broadcasting Steve Baker said. "Last year, we provided about 20 live broadcasts in four sports, but now a majority of our home events will be aired. Fans, friends and alumni of almost all our sports will be able to tune in to watch."
The first event of each sport's season, excluding football and hockey, will be available as a free preview. The productions, which will be staffed by a student crew under the direction of athletic department personnel, will feature up to three cameras and include either radio broadcasts or public address announcements for the audio portion.
The subscription price is $9.95 per month or $79.95 per year, but new subscribers can receive a 10% discount through Sept. 2 by entering promo code 10MU10. Returning subscribers are being offered 20% off through a coupon they will receive in an email from Miami All-Access. Please note that in order to receive this, you must cancel your current subscription and rejoin, but you will be credited for the unused portion.
