OXFORD, Ohio -- Philadelphia, the city famously known as the Cradle of Freedom, welcomes the university from the Cradle of Coaches to town on Wednesday (Nov. 9), as Miami and Temple square off in a nationally televised game at Lincoln Financial Field. Kickoff for this important Mid-American Conference football game on ESPN is at 8 p.m.
THE COACHES
MIAMI HEAD COACH Don Treadwell (Miami, `82) is in his first season at the helm of the Miami program ... 4-5 overall record, 3-2 MAC record ... served as Michigan State's offensive coordinator the previous four seasons; Treadwell managed the Spartans for two games a year ago in Mark Dantonio's absence due to illness, directing MSU to wins over Northern Colorado and No. 11 Wisconsin ... Treadwell joins Ara Parseghian, John Pont, Bo Schembechler, Bill Mallory, Tom Reed and Randy Walker as Miami grads who have been head coaches at MU ... Treadwell was a four-year starter for Miami (1978-81) as a receiver.
TEMPLE HEAD COACH STEVE ADDAZIO (Central Connecticut State, `81) is in his first season as head coach of the Owls. Through nine games in 2011, Temple is 5-4 overall and 3-3 in MAC play. He spent six seasons at Florida under head coach Urban Meyer, serving as associate head coach and offensive coordinator in 2010. The Gators won BCS National Championships in 2006 and 2008, while capturing two Southeastern Conference championships.

1. A RedHawk victory Wednesday over Temple and a loss by Ohio at CMU (Nov. 10) would put Miami in sole possession of first place in the MAC East Division with just two games to play.
