OXFORD, Ohio - There are at least six great reasons why football fans should consider attending Miami's final home game of 2011 this Wednesday night at Yager Stadium.
1) YOU HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO GET A FREE TICKET! Miami University's faculty and staff members are being given an opportunity to attend two exciting RedHawk athletic events for the price of one. Faculty/staff can purchase a $25 ticket or tickets to watch the RedHawks tip-off the 2011-12 season against Dayton on Tuesday, Nov. 15 (7 p.m.) and receive a comparable number of free tickets to attend and celebrate Miami's football season finale the following night against Western Michigan (Wednesday, Nov. 16, 8 p.m.).
2) THE REDHAWK FOOTBALL TEAM STILL HAS A CHANCE TO PLAY IN THE MID-AMERICAN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! If Miami wins its last two games--vs. WMU and at Ohio (Nov. 22)--and Kent State beats Temple (Nov. 25), the RedHawks will make a repeat appearance at the MAC title game.
3) FANS CAN PURCHASE A McFAMILY & FRIENDS TICKET FOR JUST $8! For just a small investment, fans can not only get a great seat for the Miami-Western game, they will also receive a voucher for a complimentary Extra Value Meal at McDonald's. It's a value that's worth nearly triple the price. McFamily & Friends tickets also will be sold at Yager Wednesday, beginning at 6 p.m.
4) IT'S SENIOR NIGHT AT YAGER, MARKING THE FINAL HOME APPEARANCE FOR 13 PLAYERS! Captain Anthony Kokal, Jerrell Wedge, Ryan Kennedy, Jordain Brown, Will Diaz, C.J. Marck, Na'eem Outler, Aaron Griffo, Tyrone Jones, Cory Brown, Brandon Brooks, Kendrick Bruton and Chris Givens will all be introduced to the crowd prior to the game.
5) WITH QUARTERBACKS Zac Dysert OF MIAMI AND ALEX CARDER OF WESTERN MICHIGAN AT THE CONTROLS, IT PROMISES TO BE AN OFFENSIVE SHOOT-OUT! Dysert and receivers Nick Harwell and Chris Givens have compiled the MAC's second-best numbers (280 yards per game), while the Broncos' Carder and receiver Jordan White rank No. 1 among the MAC's passing attacks (318 ypg).
6) YOU'RE GUARANTEED TO HAVE FUN! High-scoring football, the Miami Marching Band, the fabulous RedHawk cheerleaders and dance team ... all under the bright lights at Yager Stadium.
Miami's Athletic Ticket Office, located at Millett Hall, is taking orders from faculty/staff members through Tuesday's season opener vs. Dayton. Faculty/staff must have their University identification cards when placing orders.
