OXFORD, Ohio - This Saturday is a day that will be filled with patriotism, good food, school spirit, tailgating fun and games, music ... and, oh yes, football!
September 11 marks the home season-opener for Miami University's football team as it hosts Eastern Michigan in a key Mid-American Conference game, but fans should plan on arriving at Yager Stadium early so that they can experience the wide variety of family-friendly festivities that will take place prior to the 2 p.m. kickoff.

Boy Scouts from the Dan Beard Council will participate in fun-filled activities over a two-day period at the annual `Night Under the Stars' event. On Friday night, scouts will watch a movie on the video board of Yager Stadium and camp out at the Miami's complex. Saturday will begin with Miami student-athletes serving McDonald's breakfast to the scouts. The day will include opportunities for the scouts to tour the nature trails and museums on campus or free skate at the Goggin Ice Center. The scouts will also participate in pre-game activities on the field and will lead the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance.

The National Anthem will be performed by Master Sgt. Shawn Stanley from Wright Patterson Air Force Base during pre-game, as well as the colors being presented by current service men and women from Wright Patterson.
Wright Patterson employees and families will receive a special group rate of $10 per person with an option of adding a hot dog and soft drink for only $2 (pre-purchase only). All military personnel (past and present) from the University and Community will receive a special game-day price of $10, with proof of Military ID. CLICK HERE FOR ORDER FORM.
