Fresh off back-to-back wins at Yager Stadium, Miami returns to the road on Saturday when it faces Big 12 member Missouri in Columbia, Mo.

THE COACHES
MIAMI HEAD COACH Michael Haywood (Notre Dame, `86) is in his second season at the helm of the Miami program ... 3-12 overall record ... served as Fighting Irish offensive coordinator the previous four seasons ... named NCAA Division I-A Assistant Coach of the Year in 2005 by the American Football Coaches Association.
MISSOURI HEAD COACH GARY PINKEL (Kent State, `75) is in his tenth season guiding the Tigers and owns a 70-46 overall record at the helm of the program. Pinkel, who coached at Toledo prior to his stint at Mizzou, has a 20-year record of 143-83-3.
QUICK HITS
- Redshirt freshman Josh Harvey, a native of Columbia, Missouri, returns to his hometown next Saturday to play the Missouri Tigers. Three other "Show Me State" products--THOMAS MERRIWEATHER (Florissant), DeAndre Gilmore (St. Louis) and DeMarco Paine (St. Louis)--also will be playing in their home state.
- CARL "BULL" REESE, Miami's defensive coordinator, is a 1966 graduate of the University of Missouri. He played fullback for legendary coach Dan Devine and had three different stints at Mizzou as a coach.
- At 2-1, Miami's record is over .500 for the first time since MU was 6-5 in 2007. The RedHawks have won back-to-back games for the first time since victories over Buffalo and Akron on Nov. 3 and Nov. 14 in 2007.
SONS OF THE SHOW ME STATE:
Four Miami players will return to their native state this weekend. Josh Harvey hails from Columbia, Missouri; Thomas Merriweather is from Florissant; and DeMarco Paine and DeAndre Gilmore are from St. Louis. RedHawk defensive coordinator CARL "BUCK" REESE graduated from the University of Missouri in 1966, playing fullback for legendary Tiger coach Dan Devine.
MIAMI ALUMNUS DON TREADWELL:
Former Miami star Don Treadwell, currently the offensive coordinator at Michigan State, will fill in indefinitely for ailing Spartan head coach Mark Dantonio who suffered a heart attack on Sept. 19. Treadwell lettered at Miami from 1978-81.
OH, BROTHER:
Miami's MARCK brothers--junior linebacker C.J. and sophomore tight end STEVE--and the SEMMES brothers-- JUSTIN and JASON-- are expected to all play against Missouri. The RedHawks have another set of brothers, twins AUSTIN and Collin Boucher.
