OXFORD, Ohio -- HawkTawk, Miami Athletics' weekly radio show featuring RedHawk coaches and student-athletes, makes is 2010-11 debut on Thursday night when it airs live from Brick Street Tavern in Uptown Oxford beginning at 7 p.m. The first show features Head Football Coach Michael Haywood and Women's Cross Country Coach Kelly Phillips.
Similar to last year, the program will move between three locations in Oxford (Brick Street, Buffalo Wild Wings and Kroger) while also making special appearances in Liberty (Bruno's) and West Chester (City BBQ) during the year.
Assistant AD for Broadcasting and "Voice of the RedHawks" Steve Baker and color analyst Tim Bray serve as hosts for the show program, which airs most Thursdays during football and basketball season.
"For the second straight season, we are pleased to take our show to various venues around town and in Southwest Ohio," Baker said. "We encourage our fans to not only listen in each week, but to come out to meet our coaches and players when they can."
Miami Athletics also reminds fans of its new All-Access portal through MURedHawks.com. The new player utilizes the latest Flash technology to provide a clearer and more reliable webstream. While most of the video content is free, a monthly or annual subscription is required to listen to HawkTawk, or live content (Football, Hockey and Men's Basketball games).
