Incoming Student Orientation begins in Oxford

Every summer, in the month of June the Marketing department focuses on the Incoming Student Orientation. The incoming students and their families venture onto campus for 2 days, learn about Miami Tradition and the opportunities while being a student, register for classes, and get their first Miami ID card. This is always an exciting time for the new students who are ready to embark upon the next step in their academic lives.
Incoming Student Orientation is also a time where Miami Athletics reaches out to make a great first impression. Each day of Orientation, Miami Athletics sets up a promotional table as part of the Resource Fair; Miami Student-Athletes, Coaches and Staff volunteer their time to meet and greet with the Class of 2014 and their families.
Special ticket packages are sold to families for the Miami Football themed "Family Weekend" which will be on October 2nd vs. Kent State. Parents and families should be on the lookout for ticket information for the 2010 Football Season, as well as information regarding Athletics.
Orientation offers the first opportunity for students and families to be on the lookout for RED ALERT sign ups, Family Weekend tickets, Season tickets and just an opportunity to meet the Miami Athletic Department. Red Alert is the Student Loyalty Organization dedicated to School Spirit and supporting Miami Athletics. It is just $10 to join, and students receive an exclusive T-shirt and official Membership card when they join.
