OXFORD, Ohio -- The Miami University Department of Athletics has announced plans to provide GoDaddy.com Bowl tickets to civil service units in Mobile, Ala., for the Jan. 6 game vs. Middle Tennessee.
Fans who cannot attend the GoDaddy.com Bowl game in person are asked to purchase tickets through the Miami Athletic Ticket Office for donation to the `MiamiCares! About Mobile' initiative. These tickets will be provided to members of the Mobile Fire Department and their families. This special initiative is a great way for Miami fans to give back to those who are less fortunate during this holiday season.
"This is a great opportunity for Miami Fans who cannot make the trip to Mobile to give back to a civil service group who sacrifices their lives every day," Director of Athletics Brad Bates stated.
"We very appreciate the generosity of bowl tickets from Miami University and their fans. It is tremendous gesture," said Steve Dean, Chief of the Mobile Fire Department.
The Department of Athletics will match each ticket purchased and donated to MiamiCares! About Mobile.
Fans can purchase tickets to attend the GoDaddy.com Bowl in person or donate to the MiamiCares! About Mobile program by calling the Miami Athletic Ticket Office at 513-529-HAWK (4295). GoDaddy.com Bowl tickets are $20/ticket. Please note that the Athletic Ticket Office is open on Friday, Dec. 31 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for phone orders only. The Athletic Ticket Office will return to normal office hours (8 a.m. to 6 p.m.) for the week of January 3rd.
