MIAMI GAME NOTES

• Saturday's games marked the 115th meeting in the Battle for the Victory Bell. Miami entered the game leading 59-48-7, but had lost four straight. In Cincinnati, the RedHawks hold a 43-38-5 record.
• When Cincinnati scored first, it marked the fourth straight game that Miami has fallen behind; in the first two games of the season, Miami tallied the first points of the game.
• Cincinnati's 28-point first quarter was the most points Miami allowed in a 15-minute span since Northern Illinois rallied with 34 points in the final period on Oct. 12, 2002 game... Kent State also scored 28 points in the second quarter on October 25, 2008. This is the fourth time in 24 quarters this season that the RedHawks have given up at least 21 in a one quarter.
• Trevor Cook's 48-yard field goal in the second quarter was the third longest of his career. He kicked a school-record 55-yarder against Toledo last year and a 49-yarder at Nippert Stadium as a freshman in 2006. Cook is 10 for 11 this season, giving him a career total of 32-46 (.695).
• The 80-yard touchdown run by Isaiah Pead was the longest allowed by Miami since Toledo's Morgan Williams ran 86 yards for a score November 21, 2008.
• Cincinnati's 609 yards of total offense were the most by an opponent since Colorado tallied 634 yards on Sept. 22, 2007. The season high was 469 yards at Missouri; the Bearcats reached 480 in the first half on Saturday. The previous high for rushing by an opponent was 236 yards by Missouri; Cincinnati had 384, including 264 yards in the first half.
• Jordain Brown and DeAndre Gilmore's each made his first start of the season on Saturday; Brown previous opened once before, while this was 8th start overall.
