2009 RedHawk Football Calendar

OXFORD, Ohio -- Pre-season practice begins for Coach Michael Haywood's Miami University football team Friday morning (August 7) at the fields adjacent to Yager Stadium.

A total of 105 student-athletes will be on hand, including 23 scholarship freshmen and several players who are either walking on or transferring from various universities.

The group of 23 true scholarship freshmen who will be competing for the first time includes: John Anevski (OL), Austin Boucher (QB), Collin Boucher (LB), Justin Bowers (DB), Austin Brown (DL), Erik Finklea (LB), Evan Harris (LB), Josh Harvey (OL), Pat Hinkel (DB), Roman Lawson (RB), Steve Marck (TE), Andrew Muller (DL), Justin Semmes (FB), Anthony Shoemaker (DL), Brian Slack (TE), Lucas Swift (WR), Chris Wade (LB), Ishmael White (LB), Evan Wiley (OL), JoJo Williams (DL) and Wes Williams (DL). Defensive back Bernard Pinckney and defensive lineman John Steele, who signed letters of intent last February, will not be joining Miami's team in 2009.

Fans looking for premium savings and ideal seat location get the best of both worlds by purchasing RedHawk season tickets. Season tickets--including the game against Kentucky-- are only $120. Prices are even more affordably priced for Miami faculty and staff ($105), senior citizens ($110), and youth under 18 ($100).

Individual ticket prices for the much-anticipated game in Cincinnati against Kentucky are $45 for the lower bowl, $35 for the upper bowl and $75 for the club level. Season ticket purchasers will be seated in premium seats in the lower bowl at Paul Brown Stadium for the season opener, assuring them a savings of $15 per ticket.
