Miami Team Notes
- In the 83rd meeting between the first two public institutions founded in the state of Ohio, Ohio University downed the RedHawks, 34-24, to end a six-game losing streak versus Miami. It was the Bobcats' first win at Yager Stadium since 1993, and Ohio closed its series deficit versus Miami to 51-30-2.
- Miami finished a trying 2006 season at 2-10overall and 2-6 in the MAC, dropping 10 games in a season for the first time since 1988.
- Ohio drove 98 yards late in the second quarter to claim a 13-10 lead headed into the half. Miami never led at halftime during the 2006 season.
- Miami led in the second half in each of its final five MAC losses in 2006, and lost six league games by a combined total of 32 points (5.3 ppg).
- Miami lost its sixth straight game at home, going winless on its home field (0-5) for the first time since 1988.
Miami Player Notes
- Junior quarterback Mike Kokal led Miami in rushing, including a game-tying and season-best 36-yard scoring dash in the fourth quarter, totaling a career-high 95 yards on 13 carries. He also completed 20-of-36 passes for 180 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
- Senior Ryne Robinson totaled 8 catches for 91 yards and a touchdown, extending his string of consecutive games with a reception to 42 and finishing his career with Miami career records of 250 receptions and 3,606 yards. His 91 receptions on the season broke Miami's single-season record established in 2003 by Martin Nance.
- Sophomore tight end Tom Crabtree hauled in his first career touchdown reception in the third quarter to spot Miami a 17-13 edge. It was the third TD catch by a Miami tight end this season.
- Playing his final game in the Miami Red and White, senior safety Joey Card intercepted a deflected pass on Ohio's opening series to give him six career interceptions and two this season. He added eight tackles and a third-quarter fumble recovery on a failed Bobcat punt attempt.
- Sophomore safety Robbie Wilson made a touchdown-saving play in the first quarter, catching Ohio quarterback Brad Bower from behind, stripping the ball and recovering it in the endzone to kill a Bobcat drive.
- True freshman placekicker Trevor Cook tallied the first points of the afternoon with a 23-yard field goal, improving to 10-of-13 on field goal attempts during his rookie campaign.
