BUFFALO, N.Y.-- Miami University's Mid-American Conference football game at the University at Buffalo, originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 14 at the Bulls' UB Stadium, has been postponed due to record-breaking snowfall in western New York that has resulted in a state of emergency being declared over the region. A decision on how and when the game will be made up is expected sometime tomorrow.
"Our thoughts are with the people who have been affected by this storm, and we remain in close communication with officials from the University at Buffalo and the Mid-American Conference," Director of Athletics Brad Bates said. "Right now our top priority is to look out for the welfare of our student-athletes, coaches and staff. We look forward to playing this game and will work closely with Buffalo to reschedule this game while keeping our student-athletes and their academic obligations in mind."
With the possibility of more snow in the forecast, officials from Buffalo, Miami and the MAC will re-evaluate the situation tomorrow.
