Miami Team Notes

- Miami defeated Buffalo, 54-13, to improve to 6-3 overall and 4-2 in the MAC. It was Miami's sixth win in the past seven games and extended a season-long four-game winning streak. The RedHawks, who are in a first-place tie with Bowling Green in the MAC East Division race after losses by Akron and Ohio, also clinched their 12th consecutive winning season with the victory.

- The win was Miami's 13th in the past 14 home games and featured a season-high attendance of 20,023. The RedHawks improved to 8-0 all-time versus UB, which dropped to 0-9 and 0-6 in the MAC.

- The 47 first-half points scored by Miami were the most since the RedHawks scored 51 points in the opening half of a 1995 defeat of Akron. Entering the game, Buffalo had not allowed more than 38 points to an opponent this season.

- Buffalo's six first-half turnovers matched the six second-half turnovers forced in the RedHawks' Oct. 15 win over Akron. The eight total turnovers were the most forced since the RedHawks forced nine turnovers in a 2002 win at North Carolina.

- Miami entered the game having not scored a defensive touchdown since the 2003 GMAC Bowl--a span of 21 games--but tallied two first-half defensive scores to end the drought.

- The RedHawks have forced a whopping 19 turnovers over their last three home games, forcing five versus Cincinnati, six versus Akron and eight today versus Buffalo.

- In his first game action since Sept. 17, senior linebacker Terna Nande returned to the RedHawk starting lineup and led the first-string defense with five tackles and a fumble recovery. It marked the first time this season that the RedHawks have had all three of their starting linebackers healthy.
