Miami Player Notes
- Senior quarterback Josh Betts threw for 297 yards and two touchdowns on the night, going over 3,000 yards passing for the second straight season and taking over second on Miami's single-season list for touchdown passes. His 27 TD passes are the most by a Miami quarterback in an 11-game season.
- Senior wide receiver Martin Nance took over sole possession of Miami's career reception lead on the night, totaling eight catches in the game and 208 for his career. He also finished with 123 yards receiving, recording his 15th career 100-yard receiving day and becoming the first player in Miami history to record two 1,000-yard seasons.
- With Betts topping 3,000 yards passing on the night and Nance going over 1,000, Miami became the sixth team in NCAA I-A history to post a 3,000-yard passer (Betts), a 1,000-yard rusher (Brandon Murphy) and two 1,000-yard receivers (Nance and Ryne Robinson).
- Junior running back Jimmy Murray made his first career start on the night in place of Brandon Murphy, who was out with a foot injury. He tallied his fourth touchdown of the year on a 17-yard run and topped 100 yards for the first time in his career, totaling 113 yards on 23 carries.
- Junior Jeff Schroeder blocked a second-quarter punt--the first of his career and Miami's first since a 2004 game at Marshall--setting up a go-ahead Todd Soderquist 25-yard field goal.
- Junior Ryne Robinson returned the following punt 46 yards for a touchdown, marking his sixth career punt return for a touchdown and third in three years against Ohio. The return was a season-long for the MAC's career leader in punt return yardage, who went over 1,500 yards for his career.
