RedHawk Tennis Team Drops First Home Event To Michigan State

HAMILTON, Ohio - A two-match win streak came to an end on Saturday for the RedHawks as Michigan State took 5-of-6 singles' matches to win the dual meet, 5-2. Winning Miami's lone singles' match was senior Megan Zimpfer.
Zimpfer dominated her Spartans' opponent at No. 3 singles, winning both sets by 6-1 counts. Nearly collecting a third point for the Red and White was sophomore Maura Trauernicht at No. 6 singles, taking her competition to a third set before finally bowing out, (4-6, 6-1, 2-6).
All three of the double tandems for the Red and White recorded wins.
The loss drops Miami's record to 3-3 on the season.
