OXFORD, Ohio - The Miami RedHawks head into this Saturday's matchup versus the University of Akron ranked 15th in the nation in the Anderson & Hester/Seattle Times Poll, one of the key indicators used by the Bowl Championship Series.
Miami, which came into the week with a 3-1 record after putting up dominating wins at Colorado State (41-21) and Northwestern (44-14) and last week holding on to beat the previously undefeated University of Cincinnati (42-37), has the nation's 14th most difficult schedule.
