Tom Nomina

Nomina earned three letters in football for Miami and was selected a first-team all-MAC tackle in 1961 and 1962. He was co-captain on the 1962 team that posted an 8-2-1 record, including a 10-7 upset of Purdue, and participated in the Tangerine Bowl against Houston.
His coach was John Pont, who is a charter member of Miami's Athletic Hall of Fame. He joined teammate Bob Jencks, also a member of Miami's Athletic Hall of Fame, in helping the College All-Stars upset the Green Bay Packers in Chicago's Soldiers Field in 1963.
His professional playing career was with the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins.
