Tom Dimitroff earned three letters as a quarterback and defensive back. He was twice selected All-Ohio and All MAC at quarterback. However, he played as a defensive back in the Blue-Gray game in 1957. he went on to play and coach in the Canadian Football League.
At Miami, Dimitroff passed for 1,096 yards, including 11 touchdowns and rushed for 542 yards. As a kicker, he converted on 22 extra-point attempts and one field goal and had a punting average of 36.2 yards. He played on two MAC championship football teams under Ara Parseghian and John Pont and helped compile a record of 24-2-1.
