Steve Morris, a four-year standout from 1979-83, is Miami's all-time leading scorer in hockey with 202 points, the only player in school history to top the 200-point plateau in a career. He led Miami in scoring three times, with a career-best of 61 points in 1979-80, when he led MU to one of its best marks in school history at 23-13-2.
Morris, a native of Downview, Ontario, was a two-time captain and is Miami's all-time leader in assists with 138, while also tallying 64 goals, tying him for No. 9 on the all-time list. He also shares the school record for power play goals in a season with 17, set in 1981-82, and the MU record for consecutive games played at 145.
