Kendall is one of only five tennis players in Mid-American Conference history to capture four singles titles. Three of the other four include Miami Hall of Famer Dave Brown and former Redskins Dave Kiefer and Larry Yearwood. He captured the #3 singles crown in 1974 and 1975 and the #1 title in 1976 and 1977. He also captured two doubles championships with Dave Ramey in 1975 and Kiefer in 1977.
During his four years, he helped Miami capture four consecutive MAC titles under coach Steve Strome, also a member of Miami's Athletic Hall of Fame, and was twice selected to the all-league team. Kendall's career totals include a singles record of 92-27 and a doubles mark of 85-34. He finished his collegiate career by participating in the NCAA Championships and was voted Miami's "Athlete of the Year" in 1977. He now lives in Evanston, Illinois.
