Steve Baker, the beloved 'Voice of the RedHawks', retired from Miami University in 2024 after serving as Miami Athletics' Assistant Athletic Director/Director of Broadcasting since 2001. 'Bake' has nearly four decades of experience calling games for the Red and White, getting his start working as an engineer, host and announcer on select broadcasts in the mid-1980's. He became the voice of Miami Basketball in 1989 and was named the voice of Miami Football in 1993. Whether on the radio or via ESPN streaming broadcasts, Bake has been behind the mic for literally thousands of Miami sporting events since then, with many more to come.
