Pam Wettig, a former head women's basketball coach at Miami, was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday, September 25, 1998. Wettig served as Miami's first full-time women's coach, as well as the first full-time women's coach in the state of Ohio. During her tenure, she coached basketball and softball, and in 1978-79, was named assistant athletic director.

From 1975-84, Pam compiled a 131-102 basketball record, the most wins of any Miami women's basketball coach, and led three successive teams to 20 or more victories (1981-83). She earned MAC Coach of the Year accolades in 1982 and 1983 after winning a pair of conference titles. In 1981-82, Miami finished with a school-best 24 wins (24-9) and advanced to the AIAW National Tournament.

In addition to personal achievements as a coach, Wettig also tutored Miami Hall of Famers Mary Ann Myers (inducted in 1989), who is the only Miami female athlete to have a jersey retired, and Kris Livingston (inducted in 1997).
